This “hundred-year house” as the clients have called it from conception is designed and built to withstand the test of time by careful detailing and the use of low maintenance materials that will weather well in the harsh Oklahoma climate.
The home is a place to display art, entertain groups of friends, but most importantly to be a resting place for the owners. A monumental gallery runs east to west through the entire home and continues outdoors to a water feature and connecting patios. The living areas, including game room, library, dining room and living room open to this gallery which in essence creates one large area for gathering and entertaining. The interior details provide the intimacy that allows each of these open areas to be comfortable for two. The owner’s private wing is separate from the living space and connects to the landscape with a window wall that wraps three sides.
